Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is scheduled to be released on 28th May 2010. The movie is about an adventurous prince who along with a rival princess stops an angry ruler from unleashing a sandstorm that could potentially destroy the world. The prince in the journey gets tricked by a dying Vizier to unleash the Sands of Time that turns out to destroy a kingdom by transforming itself into ferocious demons.

The prince with help of the princess decides to redeem his fatal mistake and in order to save his kingdom has to return the Sands of Time to the hourglass by using the Dagger of Time which incidentally gives him limited control over the flow of time. The movie is based on the video game with the same name has Jake Gyllenhaal playing the role of Prince Dastan and Gemma Arterton playing Tamina. The movie is written by Doug Miro & Carlo Bernard, directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer in association with Walt Disney Pictures.
