Housefull Movie Review
Akshay Kumar in his latest film has lived up to his reputation of being an entertainer as this movie from beginning till end is a complete laugh riot. Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Jiah Khan and Deepika Padukone for company, Akshay Kumar has made sure that all the entertainment aspects are well taken care. Sajid Nadiwala and Sajid Khan have understood the pulse of the audience and have not faltered a bit during the course of the movie.
The movie begins with Aarush (Akshay Kumar) working in a casino at Macao with a tag of bringing ill-luck with his presence. The owner is overjoyed as with his entry people in the casino start to lose money on gambling. Fed-up with this Aarush decides to move on in life where his ill-luck follows thereby getting dumped by his girlfriend Pooja (Malaika Arora Khan). Aarush then flies to London to be with his childhood friend Bob (Ritesh Deshmukh). Bob also works in a casino with his wife Hetel (Lara Dutta) and though Hetel hates Aarush’s presence in the house they gel as a family after few days.
Bob introduces Aarush to Devika (Jiah Khan) and they both get married and fly to Italy for honeymoon where an interesting twist takes place and he gets to meet Deepika Padukone who has an interesting name as Soundarya Bhagyalakshmi Venkateshwari Basappa Rao a.k.a Sandy.
Aarush and Sandy then fall in love and when she invites her brother Maj. Krishna Rao (Arjun Rampal) and simultaneously when Hetel also invites her dad (Boman Irani) to visit them things turn out to be chaotic as they both lie about the man in their lives which at the same time proves to be enjoyable. what happens in the latter half and where the chaotic events come to a halt is all about in the remaining part of “Housefull”.
The movie is without doubt a copy of the tamil film “Kadhala Kadhala” which the producer fails to admit but at the same time with minor changes to the screenplay doesn’t mean that it is not been flicked from another movie.
In terms of acting everyone has simply lived in their characters. For glamour Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan sizzle in bikini. Music by Shankar Ehsaan Loy is already rocking the charts with some peppy numbers.
“Housefull” a complete family entertainer.
