Hellboy 2 – The Golden Army Movie Review
Universal Pictures “Hellboy 2 (The Golden Army)” based on the comic book by Mike Mignola is a must watch movie if you are obsessed with computer graphics. The story begins with the Hellboy in his childhood days (Year 1955) is being told a story by his dad about the myth of a golden army which was created by The Woodland King to stamp his authority over mankind only to find out that he has committed a grave mistake when he is filled with grief on seeing the effects of his foolish actions.
The Crown which is being used as a key to control the Golden Army is being separated into three pieces and distributed amongst himself and mankind. The king subsequently locks the golden army in an undisclosed location which is not liked by his son Prince Nuada and he goes into exile vowing to come back one day to reclaim his right to control over humans.
Hellboy (Ron Perlman) is a kind of fantasy creature who is being protected and nurtured in The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD) is called to save the mankind when Price Nuada (Son of Woodland King) played by Luke Goss comes back to reclaim the land from the human beings as he feels that the humans have destroyed the land by building malls and other buildings and in addition to it have also become more greedier by the day.
Hellboy along with his paranormal team in Liz Sherman (Selma Blair), Abe (Doug Jones) and Johann (James Dodd) fight together to make sure that the golden army never rises again. The movie directed by Guillermo del Toro has got spectacular special effects along with excellent cinematography by Guillermo Navarro which makes this movie a treat to watch especially for the light hearted ones.
On the whole if you liked the first edition of Hellboy movie, you are sure to love this one too.
